Bristol Ballet Centre’s Elite Associate Programme has been devised to encourage and nurture pupils who we feel display a particular technical or artistic talent and have the potential to develop their technique and performing ability.

The programme complements the student’s current class training and opens up new opportunities, giving them the chance to work individually and as part of a group, and to perform at local dance eisteddfods.

At Level 1 classes consist of basic body conditioning, ballet technique and performance, as well as modern technique and performance. This is further developed throughout Levels 2 and 3 with the intensity and degree of difficulty increasing appropriately. Pointework is studied at the top level, along with the Progressing Ballet Technique conditioning programme.

Guest teachers are often invited in to take specialist workshops in subjects such as contemporary, commercial, jazz and lyrical dance. Not only does this give the students the chance to experience different genres, but also other teachers and what they have to offer.

The Elite Associates will be performing our next show, The Wizard of Oz, on Sunday 16th December at the Newman Hall, Westbury on Trym.
