Amy trained at Dance Academy South West, where she was awarded ISTD DDE teaching status in Imperial ballet, modern and tap. She passed her Advanced 2 modern and tap examinations with Distinction, and was also the choreographic competition winner in each year of her training.
As well as her work with Bristol Ballet Centre, Amy is a member of the teaching faculty at Dance Academy South West. She has trained the winners of prestigious national competitions including the ISTD Janet Cram Awards and the ISTD Imperial Ballet Awards as well as All England finalists and medalists. Her students have also gained vocational places at White Lodge, Elmhurst School for Dance and the Hammond School. Amy continues to expand her professional qualifications and knowledge with both the ISTD and the RAD.
Andrea began her ballet training at the Susan Coles School of Dance in Wells, where she gained her RAD Grade 6 as well as performing lead roles in many of the school’s annual productions. She went on to complete a three year Ballet Education degree at the Royal Academy of Dance, graduating in 2012 with a First Class Honours, and more recently gained the Associate of The Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD) Award.
Today Andrea teaches students at a number of schools around Bristol and Somerset, as well as running Tiny Tutus mummy and baby ballet classes. She has choreographed dances for many small school productions and spent some time teaching children with disabilities at Flamingo Chicks CIC.
Andrea’s students have gone on to gain places at the likes of Laine Performing Arts Centre and London Studio Centre, as well as various Associate ballet programmes.
